How do they relate to, fit in to, or affect our nation in general? The careers I choose do not affect very many people in a big way. They affect animals and animal lovers. They careers I choose were an animal trainer and an animal breeder. They affect me because I have a lot of animals that we used to breed and we had to deal with a lot of different people asking us every question possible about how we took care of the animals. But agriculture has many other types of jobs. Some of which we have around here. We have a lot of farming and crops. Agriculture helps us by feeding us and getting us money. Agriculture relates to my community because in Paris, IL it is a main part of how our community works and how we get our money. Agriculture affects our nation by helping provide food and transporting all of it to other places feeding many people, and some animals.

Students have just finished researching the Architecture and Construction career cluster. I'm curious to know how the two careers they looked at are similar and how they are different. I'm also interested to know if either of those two careers relate in any way to their chosen career. The two careers I choose were a landscape architect and a cost estimator. The jobs aren't really alike but they could possibly correspond to each other. the landscape architect could use the cost estimator to help calculate the cost of his work. they both collect information on what they need to know to fulfill their job. Both of these jobs need a 4 year bachelors degree. The type of work styles they need are similar. They both need to pay attention to detail, cooperative, dependability, and persistence. Neither of them really relater with my chosen career.

It measures up to human services because being an EMT is helping or providing an important service to people. My chosen career is to be an Emergency Medical Technician. The career i'm comparing it to is a hairdresser. These careers don't really have anything in common except the fact that they help people. They help people in a completely different way than each other. EMT's help people is they are in a traumatic situation and need medical attention, most commonly car accidents. Hair dressers help people by providing a way to keep clean and to make yourself look good. Both jobs have to keep a sanitary station, have good technique, and have to think of others. To me these similarities are part of skill and abilities. You can push yourself to be more of these qualities but really it just depends on the type of person you are and how well you deal with people. I would work well in human services, trying to care for people and making people happy. It makes me think differently about my career choice, maybe I shouldn't be an EMT. But what I don't get is how were supposed to choose our career now because we are going to change so much as people before its actually time to choose so we really don't know what were going to be doing in the future. I might want to change my career but i'm not sure what i would change it too.
